Will I be charged when I apply for a subscription?
When you apply for a subscription by placing an order, no immediate charge is made. Instead, the first month's subscription amount is placed on hold by your bank or payment provider, known as an “authorisation hold”. This means no funds are transferred from your account to Circular at this stage.
Subscription Approved
Funds Transferred
If your subscription is approved, the hold is converted into an actual charge, and the fund is then transferred to Circular as your first month’s payment. Your subscription start date will be the same date your Circular device is delivered to you.
Subscription Declined
Authorisation Hold Released
For subscriptions that aren't approved, we instruct your bank to release the hold immediately. The funds, having never been transferred to Circular, are not considered a payment.
It typically takes 3 to 7 business days for the hold to be removed from your account. The exact timing may be longer based on your bank or payment provider. Eventually, the hold will no longer appear in the Pending Transactions section of your statement..
